One beautiful evening in Bend OR, the Beauty and the Brawn met at a US veteran cycling retreat. The Beauty having served in the Air Force (naturally) and the Brawn having served in the Marine Corps, it seemed as though the divide may be too big between their past choices of service to connect with each other. But then it happened! They started discussing coffee and found a common love. Then they woke up early to go for coffee together before the day started and spoke for hours at a time connecting over a cup of their shared love. Their love of each other started to bloom after many cups of coffee until one day the Beauty brought the idea to the Brawn to start their own company. Brawn being the Marine said “F*&$ yeah!” and she never looked back. (That’s right, the Brawn is a she). And the Beauty, well he was so happy that Brawn said yes that they had to get started planning immediately. After many more cups of coffee, the Beauty and the Brawn came up with Mission Ready Coffee Company. Promising to all who support our veterans not only the best roasts one can find, but also the promise of Mission Readiness in every cup.
